Call for papers - the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics has today announced the dates and theme of its 2025 Summer School.

 

Those wishing to be considered as a speaker at the 10th annual Summer School should submit an abstract of no more than 150 words. Submissions open today and close on 3rd Feb. 2025.

The Summer School is now in its tenth year and annually attracts over 70 speakers and 150 attendees from all over the globe. Photos from the ninth Summer School can be found here:

Ecodesign requirements hitting the computers labelling; industry hitting back at European Commission

The European Commission aims to initiate a new regulation, affecting the energy labelling requirements for computers. The recently initiated regulation aims to help consumers choose the most energy-efficient computers by using a scale from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). The energy label will also provide other useful information on durability and reparability.

The consultation covers both the ecodesign and energy labelling initiatives.
